Fr. Pius (Thomas) Reynolds of the Most Blessed Trinity was born on June 14, 1918, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to parents Michael and Mary (nee McFadden) Reynolds. He entered the novitiate at Holy Hill, February 27, 1939. He made his first vows at the same place on February 28, 1940. He then began three years of study in Thomistic Philosophy in the scholasticate located at Holy Hill. These studies were in preparation for the study of theology and ordination to the priesthood. Having completed these studies, he was transferred to the College of Theology in Washington, DC. There he made his profession of solemn vows on August 28, 1943. Having completed his studies, he was ordained to the priesthood on December 22, 1947.

Fr. Pius then began a ministry of the sacraments and retreat preaching which he maintained in various communities of our Province until 1951. In that year, he joined the Chaplains’ Corps of the United States Air Force and remained in that ministry until 1959 when he returned to the province and joined the Washington DC community. In later years, Fr. Pius had conventuality at Holy Hill, Hubertus, Wisconsin; Waverly, New York; and Brookline, Massachusetts. In his final years, he was cared for with great charity and concern by the members of the Brookline community. Fr. Pius died peacefully on March 26, 1989, and is buried at the Carmelite Cemetery in Hubertus, Wisconsin.
