Fr. Andrew (Bernard) LeFebvere of the Infant Jesus was born on March 16, 1916 in Bay City, Michigan to parents Adolphus and Louise (nee Begin) LeFebvere. Father entered the Discalced Carmelite Order on October 14, 1935 at Holy Hill, Wisconsin, made his profession on October 15, 1936 and was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop McNamara on December 19, 1941 at Washington, DC. After ordination,  Father Andrew joined five other friars as the first Carmelite missionaries to the Philippines. Their foundational work remains impactful today. In later years, Father’s priestly ministry took him to Arizona where he died on February 21, 1981. He is buried at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Anchorville, Michigan.
