Fr. Elias (George) Keller of St. Therese of the Child Jesus was born on June 17, 1915, in Kunsziget, Hungary to parents Anthony and Adel (Blaskovics) Keller. He entered the novitiate on July 15, 1930, and was ordained a priest on April 8, 1939. On May 14, 1956, he  became a United States citizen and on November 21, 1979, officially transferred to the Washington Province. As a priest, Fr. Elias traveled extensively throughout the world, ministering in Iraq, Uganda, Belgium, Rome, Yugoslavia, Brussels and the United States. He died March 3, 1985 and is buried at the Carmelite Cemetery in Hubertus, Wisconsin..
