Br. Julian (Joseph) Keck of St. Henry was born in Schwandorf, Bavaria on September 27, 1894, to parents Joseph and Mary (nee Stipberger) Keck. On June 1, 1920, he entered the novitiate in Regensburg, Germany. He made his simple profession on July 22, 1922, and solemn profession on July 29, 1925, both at Holy Hill in Hubertus, Wisconsin. Among his ministries as a Carmelite, Brother Julian served as a carpenter and sacristan. He died on July 12, 1981, and is buried at the Carmelite Cemetery in Hubertus, Wisconsin.
