Br. Kenneth Huppman of the Holy Family was born on October 21, 1936 in Norristown Pennsylvania to parents Charles and Maude (nee Fickes) Huppman. In April 1954 he was sworn into the United States Navy and was stationed in Washington, DC and Pearl Harber, Hawaii. While in Hawaii, Br. Kenneth volunteered a few days a week as a handyman for the Sisters of St. Joseph and became acquainted with Chaplain Fr. Gerard Taylor, O.C.D. On October 8, 1957, Br. Kenneth was released from active duty and was accepted into the Carmelite Order on August 6, 1958. He made his simple profession on August 7, 1960. Brother had a deep love for God and served Him faithfully until his death on February 22, 1986. He is buried at the Carmelite Cemetery in Hubertus, Wisconsin.
