Br. Frank Salamone of the Cross and the Holy Face was born on February 14, 1960, in Easton, Pennsylvania to parents Frank and Elsa Gabriela (nee Dona) Salamone. He began his postulancy in LaPlata, Argentina where his parents were originally from before transferring to the Washington Province on February 15, 1997. He made his simple profession on July 16, 1998, and his solemn profession on February 11, 2004.

After making his profession, Br. Frank ministered in varied ways - in parishes, in prayer groups, with the young and those with AIDS.

Br. Frank died on January 3, 2020, in Anchorage, Alaska, and is buried at the Carmelite Cemetery in Hubertus, Wisconsin.
