Fr. Anthony (Russell) Haglof of the Holy Family was born on April 16, 1939, to Charles and Constance (nee Cavanaugh) Haglof, in Brockton, Massachusetts. He made his profession as a Discalced Carmelite Friar on August 15, 1965, and was ordained a priest on May 13, 1971. Among his priestly ministries, Fr. Upon visiting his room, he was found sitting peacefully in his chair as if asleep, but instead, he had been called home to God. Community members recalled seeing Fr. Anthony in the kitchen shortly before the bell rang for prayer; a reminder to us all of the truth that we do not know either the day or the hour. Fr. Anthony is buried at the Carmelite Cemetery in Hubertus, Wisconsin.
